The hisory of Azienda Agricola Oberto







The wine tradition that renewed from generation to generation
The tasting hall is situated next the firm in Monticello, via Statale,6 and it is painted by Paola Oberto.

OBERTO LUIGI

  
was born in La Morra the 6th september 1940 in an ancient family of wine producers.
There is  a document dated 1819 made by a notary named Borgogno that testify the purchase of a farm by a Luigi's great-grandfather and his brothers.
IN 1973
  
with his own family, Luigi sets up in Monticello d’Alba his Winery, making wine by grapes bought in the Roero. In 1981 he was one of the first winemakers to produce wines like Favorita and Arneis that in that time were unknown in Piedmont.

IN 1995-1996

  

when his son Vittorio graduated in oenology Luigi bought his first vineyards in Loghero of Sommariva Perno and set up the farm Bricco Loghero.

Actually there are around 6 hectare of vineyards
WE PRODUCE NEBBIOLO, ARNEIS, DOLCETTO, FAVORITA AND BARBERA

In the vineyard's area Vittorio renovated an old cottage, and a small winery where he makes wines only with grapes of his own vineyards.
